Quebec Launches Electronics Recycling Initiative
Wednesday, September 05, 2012
Thanks to the Association pour le recyclage des produits electroniques du Quebec (ARPE-Quebec), the province of Quebec will no longer ship old electronic products to landfills. Instead, used regulated electronics will be sent to certified recyclers and processors.
There are nearly a hundred drop-off points locatedthroughout Quebec where people can dump old televisions, computers, and cellphones. ARPE-Quebec hopes that this program will help ease the burden on overused landfills and reduce the environmental impact from discarded electronic products.
